Welcome to Gather and Grow's (NEW!) Associate Level Membership, where you can access community building and academic supportive outings regularly throughout the Gather and Grow season (Nov-Apr)! Access is free for full members; a one-time fee of $15 per child with a $10 sibling discount for Associate only members.
We will support our U.S. History class with a fun historical fiction book club! This class is designed to bring the time period to life with imagination, critical thought and adventure. Can be enjoyed as a standalone for your avid history buff or reader. Will also incorporate audio and age adaptive options where able for our littles to enjoy. 2nd Mondays monthly from 11:30a-1:00p in Crown Point.
We are working to incorporate multiple opportunities for some outward heart steering! From blessing nursing home residents to being helping hands at local food banks to participation in Veteran care service, all meant to help little hearts grow in community care. Could be a variety of days/times depending on location, availability and need.
Children will have a regularly scheduled French immersive time with Mrs. Poole, who is a fluent speaker and able to support the current Gather and Grow French curriculum with child friendly table conversation. This will be a fun shared time as a standalone as well for those interested or studying French. Location will be in Crown Point with a focal day of Mondays.
This will be organized group outings to local or Chicago based venues providing members a time of group fun while visiting some of the well known and loved favorites. Some additional venue costs may apply.
This will be a broad range of possible outings throughout the term, with options like guided hikes, outings designed to grow in knowledge of animals, learning to make and use herbal remedies, etc. Focus is supporting our children's connection to and fostering care of our natural world. These could be any variety of days/times with an emphasis on Mondays.
These outings will just be a pile of fun! The design is simply to bring the community together, building lasting friendships while taking home sweet memories. Events may be things like dances, celebrations, games, puzzles, library gatherings or park play-dates.
